KATY WOOLLATT – PORTRAIT ARTIST
Having had a talent for art from a young age, she studied at the Leeds College of Art and Design and later earned her Degree in Design from Manchester Metropolitan University.
At that time Katy’s career steered towards three dimensional art and she furthered her studies in glassblowing, then working as a glassblower and exhibiting her work in galleries and exhibitions across the UK.
Now a painter, she takes on commissions of animal and human portraiture, capturing the soul and feeling of the subject using photos provided by the customer. Katy also exhibits her larger artworks in local exhibitions and works in both acrylics and oils.
She currently shares her time and talents between her paintings and also works as a graphic designer.
MY WORK
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
I cannot believe this painting. I’ve never, ever seen such amazing work. When I unraveled this, I could not hold back the tears!!! For those of you who were lucky enough to have met Tara, know her amazing soul and personality. Katy has captured this so amazingly. Honesty, from a distance, you cannot tell it is a painting. Absolutely amazing.
Absolutely my best birthday gift from my goddaughter Claire in Ft. Lauderdale. What a totally amazing surprise to open my package and Astra (my standard poodle) just looking at me with those wonderful big puppy eyes. The likeness is remarkable. Katy you are an incredibly talented artist. Wishing you every success.
